Kendall and Harrison were born three streets apart and grew up at the same church. They now wonder how many times they saw each other playing at Preston Hollow Park, eating at Taco Diner, swimming at Royal Oaks, and attending kids ministries at Watermark. However, Harrison and Kendall didn’t officially meet until high school in 2014.

Kendall masterminds Harrison’s campaign for class president, which he wins, and he appoints her to be his secretary. They go to a Halloween costume formal together.

Teammates! They play on the same co-ed soccer team.

Prom Twist. Kendall goes to Prom with Harrison’s younger brother, Nolan, who will be standing beside him as best man at the wedding.

College calls, taking Kendall to Wake Forest in North Carolina and Harrison to UT in Austin. Despite the distance, they see each other during every school break, often going to church together, with Kendall even interning for Harrison’s dad one summer. Kendall becomes really good friends with Harrison’s older sister, Emily, who now swears the whole family knew they were going to get married from the beginning. Harrison's younger sister Ellie took it upon herself to get Kendall's ring size in 2020.

In 2021, Kendall told Harrison, “I wish everyone would stop trying to set us up. We’re OBVIOUSLY never going to get married or anything!” Oh, if she only knew…

Harrison and Kendall reconnect when Kendall moves to Austin for law school, and she loves becoming a Longhorn. Harrison brings Kendall into his Austin world, introducing her to his friends, taking her to his church, and they go to yet another Halloween costume formal together— but this time things feel different.

After a “will-they-or-won't-they” saga, Harrison and Kendall finally begin dating and there is no doubt in either of their minds that the other is the partner and helper that the Lord has hand picked for them. Harrison continues to romance Kendall on his Lake Austin boat and on fun weekends in Lindale until he moves back to Dallas for a job. In the Lord’s incredible providence, Kendall also gets a post-graduation job in Dallas, and all the pieces are falling into place. Four months into dating, Harrison asks Kendall’s dad for his blessing.

Harrison pops the question with a scavenger hunt filled with all of her extended family and countless pages from his prayer journals! They enjoy celebrating their engagement, beginning to merge families, and joyfully preparing for their next big adventure.

Kendall graduates law school in May, moves back to Dallas to tackle the Bar Exam (prayers appreciated!), and the countdown is officially on! December 13th is just around the corner, and they couldn’t be more excited to say “I do.”
